Meet Our Staff

Connie - 2015Connie J. Wittren, CFRE
EvergreenHealth Monroe Foundation Director

What I do at EvergreenHealth Foundation:
I have the wonderful privilege of working with donors and volunteers at both EvergreenHealth facilities.  In Kirkland I get to work with donors who choose to support the foundation with more complex and tax beneficial estate gifts to The EvergreenHealth Legacy Society.  And with the addition of our new affiliation with EvergreenHealth Monroe, I serve as the Director of the Foundation to establish their philanthropy program which includes their annual Blue Jeans & Boots Gala.

What I do outside of EvergreenHealth Foundation:
My family came to the Snohomish valley in the 1880’s and we have not left.  I have had the pleasure of working in healthcare philanthropy for nearly 40 years.  I serve on the Board of Directors for The Everett Clinic Foundation and received the Greater Everett Community Foundation’s Bob Drewel Community Service Award recognizing my 40 year career and dedication to human services in Snohomish County.  I live in Mukilteo and my interests include enjoying my 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren, traveling, wonderful friends, a great glass of wine, and a big –  GO HAWKS.

Development Assistant

What I do at EvergreenHealth Foundation:
I joined the EvergreenHealth Foundation family in March of 2017 and work in Monroe. I manage the database of our generous donors in Monroe and assist in the production of our annual Blue Jeans and Boots Gala.

What I do outside of EvergreenHealth Foundation:
When not at work, I can be found playing and training with our family dogs! My husband and I have two rescues (an Australian Shepherd and a Cattledog mix) and we compete with them in Agility, Obedience and Rally. When not working around our small farm in Arlington, we enjoy a good movie or spending time on the trails with the dogs.

Gift Shop Manager

What I do at EvergreenHealth Foundation:
I started volunteering here when it was Valley General Hospital in 1989. I became a Foundation Board Member in 2007. As a part-time employee, I manage the Gift Shop and have for the last 5 years. I also help with the Foundation financials. I have met so many nice people working here. A lot of the people feel like family. As you can tell I am very committed to this facility.

What I do outside of EvergreenHealth Foundation:
I enjoy working in my yard and growing flowers, which I have lots of! I am also a long time crafter and make jewelry, paint and make cards.
