Acute Rehabilitation Unit Renovation Celebration

Categories: Gala Impact

The Foundation hosted an Open House and Dedication Ceremony on Tuesday, February 23 to unveil the newly remodeled Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU). Guests enjoyed tours by the ARU staff and some “before” photos highlighting the impact of the much -needed renovation.

The ARU underwent a four-phase renovation that took more than 7 months to complete. The ARU continued to treat patients during the whole renovation, closing just half of the rooms at a time. Staff worked around the construction zones, continuing to provide exceptional care.

The renovation was made possible thanks to the generosity of donors at the 2014 Evergreen Gala. The Foundation would like to extend a big thank you to the Freedman Family Foundation, Michael and Mary Kay Hallman, Halvorson Construction Group and the Halvorson Family who all made lead gifts to fund key elements of the project. Thank you also to all the sponsors, donors, patients and staff for their support.
